Fall
The colors are beautiful in the fall in the UP. Take a drive down to Lake Superior or hike along the trails to the waterfalls to see the colors.
The mountain looks so different without all of the snow.
The Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park is about an hour drive away. The Park is 60,000 acres and has the largest tract of old-growth timber in the Midwest. Pictured is "Lake of the Clouds" which is an easy hike to get to. The Porkies also has more the 60 waterfalls, many of them easily accessible.
The Lake Superior Trail follows most of the shore, with the rest best explored by boat or kayak.
